ABOUT US

Dixie Canyon's PTA is made up of enthusiastic parent volunteers who act as liaisons of communication between the school administration, teachers, parents and students. Responsible for organizing educational and fun community building events, the Dixie Canyon PTA team relies on parent participation to provide our student body with lasting memories of their elementary school years.

The PTA meets monthly to discuss local, district, and statewide issues in addition to producing and implementing on-campus events such as Family Night, Holiday Boutique, Fun Run, Movie Nights, Magic Shows, Teacher Appreciation Day and much more. The PTA also coordinates spirit wear sales and our room parent system.

The PTA also provides critical funding for educational programs that impact your child’s daily curriculum. We ensure Dixie Canyon has the revenue needed to continually provide vital programs for students that are not budgeted for by LAUSD. These programs include aides, cutting edge instructional technologies, instructors and materials for art, PE, drama, science, library, computer and garden programs.
